DRAINACE VS ENVIROLIFT AT A GLANCE

DrainAce-Concrete-1

DrainAce concrete pump stations

  • Commercial-grade concrete mould-formed precast chamber.
  • Designed for applications like heavy residential pump stations and commercial pumping stations.
  • Cost-effective option for wastewater, effluent and stormwater pump systems.
  • Suitable for a large range of pumps up to 80 mm discharge.
  • Diameter sizes range from 1830 mm to 3350 mm.
  • Capacities range from 5,400 L to 22,600 L.

Benefits

The DrainAce concrete pump stations include a single mould-formed chamber, a concrete cover slab and lid, pump/s, pipework, control system and floats. These chambers are a great option if your project requires large storage or large pumps to suit high flow requirements. DrainAce concrete pump stations are designed for minimal excavation, making them suitable for various applications. They are commonly used as heavy residential pump stations as well as commercial pump stations. There are four DrainAce concrete sizes with diameters ranging from 1.83 m to 3.35 m and capacities ranging from 5,400 L to 22,600 L.

Due to their wider and shorter design compared to the EnviroLift range, these concrete tanks are typically favoured in situations where a high water table is present or where deep excavation is not feasible.

EnviroLift-Concrete

EnviroLift concrete pump stations

  • High-strength municipal-grade concrete mould-form pre-cast chamber with increments available for up to 15 m chamber depth.
  • Large valve chamber to accommodate valves up to 300 mm size.
  • Highly customisable, perfect for councils and municipalities.
  • Diameters from 1800 mm to 3600 mm.
  • Heavy service trafficable covers available.

Benefits

EnviroLift concrete pump stations are a premium option pump station for SA Water and municipal water pump stations. The one-piece mould-formed base ensures the structure is water-tight as the first join is above normal operating water level. The modular design of the Envirolift pump station allows for exceptional customisation and speedy installation. They comply with AS3735:2001 and WSAA Standard, making them a long-life wastewater or stormwater pump station solution, with a conservative 50 years design life.

The EnviroLift range has the option of an integral valve chamber, an internal valve chamber and an external valve chamber. When the pump discharge diameter is 80 mm or more, a valve chamber is required to make for easy access and maintenance to the isolation and check valves. The integral valve chamber has the advantages of a single excavation without interconnecting pipework and makes for a faster and a neater installation. The external valve chamber is typically used for councils or municipalities, however with this comes the risk of differential settlement between the pump station and the VC chamber as there’s interconnecting pipework.

CASE STUDIES

Case study_Polarity Plumbing

Polarity Plumbing

Global Water engineered a custom concrete pump station for Polarity Plumbing to allow for potential flooding. Two 9,800 L DrainAce concrete pump stations were supplied to allow for the specified emergency storage as well as a stainless-steel battery backup system. This solution was key for a coastal residential project, ensuring optimal performance and protection in a corrosive environment.

Case study_Fulton Hogan

Fulton Hogan Construction EnviroLift Project

Global Water assisted Fulton Hogan Construction with the design and commissioning of two wastewater pump stations at two major development sites. A wastewater system was needed to be put into place to convey sewerage from residential homes to the wastewater treatment plant. Two EnviroLift pump stations were supplied due to WASS regulatory approvals, and its compact shape.
