Bore Water Extraction - Mining Exploration Camp

Posted on 28 November 2017

Water supply and transfer in remote location for a mining resource expansion.

OVERVIEW

This Exploration Camp is an expanding resource project based in the north of South Australia. Commencing in 2012, this exploration camp has now been in operation for the last few years.

To support ongoing process expansion, an established water source was required as existing facilities were insufficient to support the remote location of the exploration camp. The location meant limited local resources and increased costs for on-site construction.

OUR SOLUTION

Global Water worked together with the principle to design and assemble a bore water extraction system that allowed for bulk water storage and transfer to the water treatment facility, and from there to the camp location. The system was engineered in-house by Global Water’s design team, and pre-assembled in the Global Water manufacturing facility. Once QA and performance testing was complete, the system was transported to site as a turn-key package – allowing for minimal site personnel and reduced on-site hours.

THE RESULT

This reliable and cost effective system has resulted in increased capability at the mine for minimal capital outlay. It has been running successfully for over 12 months with minimal fuss for the client.
